Antabax Re-introduces Children to the Traditional Game of ‘Tepuk Amai-Amai’ to Teach Correct Hand Hygiene
Since our first CSR initiative in 2009, Antabax does not stop in educating the general public about the importance of hand hygiene. And in 2010 and 2011, our CSR programmes reached out to more than estimated 8 million Malaysians. And with all our programmes to date, we may have reached out to more than 9 million Malaysians.
Our effort has paid off. Even with the recent epidemic of H7N9 in China, there is no panic here in Malaysia, according to the information released by Ministry of Health Malaysia.
Through this campaign, which will run nationwide, throughout the months of May, June and July 2013, the Ministry of Health, Ministry of Education and Antabax will target the young and families.
To make this campaign more interesting, we are reviving the valuable traditional game ‘Patty Cake’ or ‘Tepuk Amai-amai’. With this game contest, we want to engage the children by improving their hand-eye coordination, oral communications and social skills, competitive skills as well as teamwork.
Since Patty Cake main components are hands, it is an ideal education tool to teach children the proper hand washing steps in a fun and interactive way.
